Intune Bug: Adding Microsoft 365 Apps in Intune

The root of the problem seems to lie in a bug affecting the Default file format and Update channel fields. Even though all mandatory fields appear to be filled out correctly, the system doesn't recognize them, preventing you from moving forward.

Step-by-Step Solution

Fortunately, there's a straightforward solution to this issue. By reselecting both the Default file format and Update channel fields, you can bypass the bug and continue with the app configuration. Here’s a detailed guide to help you resolve this problem:

1. Navigate to Step 2: Configure App Suite :
  • Ensure all mandatory fields are filled out.
  • Pay special attention to the Default file format and Update channel fields
2. Reselect the Fields :
  • Click on the Default file format field and select a different value.
  • Immediately reselect the desired value.
  • Repeat the same process for the Update channel field
3. Reconfigure Update Channel Fields :
  • After reselecting the desired value for the Update channel, you may need to reconfigure related fields.
  • Double-check all configurations to ensure they align with your deployment requirements.

Pro Tips for Future Configurations

To avoid encountering this issue in the future, consider the following tips:

  • Initial Selection: When adding Microsoft 365 apps, initially select a different value for Default file format and Update channel. This can help ensure the fields are recognized correctly.
  • Double-Check Configurations: Always double-check your configurations after reselecting values. This ensures that all settings are as intended and reduces the risk of deployment errors.
