Rimo3 is excited to announce Tarkan Koçoglu as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), commencing his role from April 5, 2021.
Tarkan shares some insights on why he has decided to join the Rimo3 Team and his experience in the app and desktop virtualization industry specifically with Mike Welling, Rimo3 President, and CEO, who also highlights why this announcement provides significant value for Rimo3's go to market motion and driving the company's vision of app modernization.
Mike Welling: Tarkan, we are very excited to have you join the team. Why Rimo3?
Tarkan Koçoglu: I am excited to join the Rimo3 as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and lead our marketing efforts to drive jointly with the team our growth in the app modernization industry. During my conversations with you and the team, I could clearly see the passion of each and everyone, for the journey ahead, but also the value of the technology platform that organizations can leverage to truly simplify and accelerate their adoption of app and desktop virtualization technologies. Hence, I wanted to be part of this talented team and a great opportunity.
How does your experience stack up with our business vision and expansion plans?
I have worked for over 25 years in the tech industry in a variety of roles from consulting in Europe and the Middle East, later worldwide, technical sales enablement, strategic alliances, and business development on a global level. After a brief journey at a startup, my last seven years were in Marketing at Citrix, specifically Technical Product Marketing to drive the "How" of the business value proposition to create tangible solutions and use cases that customers can relate to.
My background from the ground up in technology and customer interaction across all my past roles gave me plenty of experience, in the End User Computing industry to tap into in order to drive successful marketing outcomes for product launches, brand awareness, and operational efficiency. However, one key principle I always keep high up: Listening to the market. Its customers and partners. They will tell you their challenges and keep you close to reality enabling an organization the delivery of true value.
When you are not working on marketing activities, how do you spend your time?
In short, I stay busy. I do spend a lot of time with my family - my wife and my three children (even though our oldest is in college in Newark, NJ). The current pandemic limits our activities but did not hold us back from board games, cycling, and a few science projects. Besides this, I work on several DIY projects at home, Xbox Gaming, reading, and workout. To continue learning and giving back, I do mentor in the tech industry and am on the Florida International University MBA Advisory Board.
