Customer OS Image Testing (Azure)
The Customer OS Image Testing feature enables custom images to be used for testing in Rimo3 Cloud tenants that have been linked to a customer’s Azure Subscription. The feature allows customers to configure additional Operating Systems that reference Managed Images in Azure to be used when provisioning Task Runners. Customer images can include core applications and dependencies such as Office and C++ Runtimes that other applications may depend on.
Combined with Azure Subscription Linking, which allows for Task Runners to be domain joined and gives access to backend systems, such as databases and license servers, Customer OS Image Testing completes the contextual relevance testing story.
Customer OS images can be added for Windows 10 1507 and later and Windows Server 2012 and later.
Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Import
The ConfigMgr Import feature enables customers to import application packages into an Azure Subscription linked Rimo3 Cloud tenant. Importing applications from ConfigMgr improves the onboarding experience by removing the limitations of package upload, such as maximum upload size, and ensuring that custom install switches and properties are used without having to be manually configured.
The feature will import Applications from ConfigMgr with a Deployment Type of Windows Installer (MSI), AppV5 as well as Script Installers.
The import also includes logic to automatically remediate install and uninstall commands that contain switches that would result in user interaction being required. This ensures that the automated processes can run completely unattended.
